Centuria is a South African Bull Terrier specialist kennel based in Pretoria and was founded in 1990.  Although relatively young we have had some remarkable successes including winning the coveted SA Bitch of the Year title at the South African Major Trophies in 1998 with our home bred champion Ch Centuria Black Satin as well as the Ormandy Vase for dogs (best in SA under 2 yrs) with Centuria Rogue Robertson and Ch Centuria Sassy Sue the winner of the Ormandy Jug for Bitches in 2002. Centuria has also produced 3 Northern Transvaal Dog and Bitch of the Year winners and of course we expect to do much better into the future.  In addition, our breeding can be found in many of the current winners including the 2004 Supreme (Grand Daughter to Ch Centuria Rogue Robertson).

Our kennel strives to produce even tempered and sound animals that typify Bull Terriers, in other words head, substance and bone (without sacrificing conformation and movement) are crucial to making a good Bull Terrier. Our success is based on having wisely used the best, imported and local bloodlines in our breeding program and the results of consistent winning prove this.

Both Joe and Georgia are active in the dog world apart from breeding regularly attend shows, breed seminars and have served on the committee of the Northern Transvaal Bull Terrier Club as Vice Chairman & Secretary respectively. Georgia has re-joined the Northern Transvaal Bull Terrier Club as their Secretary and also served on the BT Annual Committee for several years. Both have written articles that have been published in Bull Terrier Club Newsletters and Bulletins etc. and Joe has travelled overseas to attend shows such as the English Major Trophies.
